Who is Hartford Girls Basketball, Inc?
The Hartford Girls Basketball, Inc. is community based organization started in 2002 to address the growing need of Girls basketball in the city of Hartford, Connecticut. The focus is to provide basketball opportunities for elementary girls (5th 8th grade) regardless of skill level.

What is Hartford Girls Travel Basketball?
The Hartford Girls Travel Basketball, allows for elementary girls (5th grade to 8th grade) to compete against other Connecticut cities/towns in a competitive environment. Each grade level has its own separate team for that grade. There is also a Jr. WNBA league open to players unable to commit to travel basketball.

What are the Benefits of playing travel basketball?
Playing travel basketball against the best players in Connecticut allows the girls to take their game to the next level. It also prepares them to play in our city high school programs. The Jr. WNBA experience will also provide in-league training to increase skill levels to also compete at the high school level. Many of our alumni are competing in the City of Hartford Public High Schools and some are receiving consideration to play at the college level.

When are the Games?
Our season runs from October to February. The games are usually played on the weekend on Saturday or Sunday.

What about Practice?
We will practice in Hartford 2 times per week for 90 minutes each practice. The majority of each practice will focus on individual skill development.

How much will this Cost?
Our cost is determined by sponsorship level. We are committed to charging the players as least as possible. This player fee includes registration/ player insurance, gym time, and trophies. Fundraising opportunities to raise the entire player fee are also provided.
